About the Program

Program Mission
To make the academics comprehensive and challenging to prepare students for college programs in Athletic Training or other Allied Health fields

Students will experience:

  • Demonstrate, access, and evaluate understanding of body systems and human anatomy as well as the associated medical terminology.
  • Diagnose and investigate body systems, anatomy, perform first aid/CPR, and taping.
  • Work side by side with an Athletic Trainer during after-school athletic practices and competitions.
  • Use critical and logical thought to learn how to diagnose athletic-related injuries.

 
Potential Careers
Career examples include Sports Medicine Physician, Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist, or Occupational Therapist
